Today’s guest post is by Phoenix. Phoenix is a Shamanic Coach, teacher, and healer.
As long as I can remember I was aware of the language of energy. I can remember being four years old and knowing that it wasn’t the right time to ask my mom for permission to go next door and play. I could feel it. I could feel her energy, and it was in a “no” mood.
Have you ever had your back to a doorway and known someone entered the room without hearing them make a sound? This is your energy field bumping up against their energy field as they approach.
Have you ever walked into a room and known that everyone had just received bad news even though nothing is being said? This is you tapping into your language with energy.
We are all born with an innate ability to connect with energy that is bigger than just us. For some we simply fall out of practice, for others it is actively discouraged or dismissed. But just like great athletes if we regularly “flex” this muscle it becomes our very nature.
Connection As A Practice
I remind people all of the time that I don’t do what I do because I am the only one who can do it. I do what I do very well, because I practice it every day. You don’t want me to be your accountant or your carpenter because I do NOT practice those skills on a daily basis.
There are some very simple practices you can do to “flex” your energy language muscles.
- Water: If you’ve ever snorkeled or dove you know how LOUD it is in the water. This is because water is far more conductive than air. Get in water and feel the energy!
- Send It Like A Letter: Spend one minute every morning sending specific energy to someone. Ask a friend to join you in this practice; it makes it exponentially more fun.
- Write It Down: Document, document, document! This is the surest way to start recognizing the patterns (or language, as I like to call it) of how energy communicates with you specifically.
Leveraging Your Language
In my experience, everyone receives energy in very different ways. By choosing to spend a small amount of time playing with energy on a regular basis you will develop the ability to understand the vocabulary you share with energy. Practice give you the opportunity to wield that energy for the highest good of everyone involved.
As your discipline grows so will your language. I have been consciously doing this work for over 20 years and it continues to expand on a regular basis. Every day continues to be an adventure waiting to unfold. I can’t imagine a better way to spend this lifetime.
Tell me about your adventures in energy play in the comments below.
